UX Content Strategist | Communications lead with 14 years of experience

Writing is my first love.

I wrote my first book in 2015, tracing the history of a pioneer residential estate in Singapore from the 50s. Memories were captured in compelling stories told by residents past and present, from rock icon Ramli Sarip, to the late president S.R. Nathan.

But what I love most about it, is that writing is designing. I did a UX career pivot while launching a digital product in Discovery Networks, and I haven't looked back since.

Good UX writing should be concise, empathetic and inclusive. Be it microcopy, chatbots or touchpoints in the user flow - we design a cohesive user experience that resonates and engages, regardless of colour, age or disability.

It's also measurable. Language design can be driven by content research and metrics, aligned to OKRs, and tracked against business outcomes. You can see my ideas on content research and testing here.

But hey - I don't just write. When I've a spot of time, you can find me teaching Pilates, watching Netflix, or running after my feisty toddler. :)

P.S. If you would like to see more of my work, do check out my editorial portfolio here. Thank you for dropping by!
